Hyundai Engineering launches new value system for future energy and advanced industry construction

On 30 January, Hyundai Engineering held a ceremony at its headquarters in Jongno‑gu, Seoul, to unveil a new corporate value system. The statement defines the firm’s identity as “connecting space and energy with our technology to create a better life” and positions it as a core player in the evolution of the energy value chain.

The company will broaden its portfolio to include small modular reactors (SMR), hydrogen, solar power, artificial‑intelligence‑driven data centres, vehicle‑to‑grid (V2G) services, battery‑after‑use energy storage (UBESS), carbon capture and storage, ammonia‑based hydrogen production, and LNG liquefaction. A highlighted project is the Hillboro, Texas solar plant, which will supply renewable electricity to Hyundai Motor Group’s North‑American facilities, supporting the group’s RE100 commitment. The new framework was drafted after a ten‑month internal consultation involving roughly 6,500 employees, and was presented by CEO Joo Woo‑jungk.
