Hyundai Glovis expands air forwarding to support K-culture exports

Hyundai Glovis is expanding its air forwarding business by supporting the export of K-culture products, including cosmetics and entertainment media. The company has secured contracts to transport cosmetics from APR to destinations such as Los Angeles, London, and Amsterdam, as well as K-pop albums from SM Entertainment to locations including Chicago.

As a freight forwarder, Hyundai Glovis manages the entire logistics process, including packaging, customs clearance, shipping, and final delivery. For cosmetics, the company ensures compliance with international standards such as the US FDA and the EU's REACH regulations. For K-pop albums, the company implements strict security protocols to prevent information leaks and follows specific handling guidelines to protect physical media.

In the first half of this year, the company signed contracts for hundreds of tons of these goods. This move aligns with a significant rise in South Korean exports, with cosmetics to Europe nearly doubling over two years and K-pop album exports reaching a record 382.3 billion won in the first half of the year. Hyundai Glovis plans to further strengthen its capabilities using its Incheon International Airport Logistics Center and is also expanding into high-value sectors like fine art transport.
