Hyundai HB20 tops Brazil's used‑car search rankings as prices climb

A market study by NaPista found the Hyundai HB20 was the most searched used car in Brazil during the first half of the year, receiving 223,000 queries and surpassing the Volkswagen Gol and Chevrolet Onix. The analysis, based on over 300,000 online listings, shows compact models continue to dominate consumer interest.

Prices for used light‑vehicle models rose an average of 3.49% from January to June, according to the IBV Auto index. Regional gains were strongest in Minas Gerais (5.09%) and Piauí (4.32%). The Toyota Corolla recorded the highest appreciation at 4.17%, followed by the Hyundai HB20 at 3.68% and the Gol at 3.30%.

Separately, the 2017 Hyundai Azera 3.0 L V6 sedan has emerged as a notable value option in the Brazilian used‑car market. Listed at roughly R$118,650, it undercuts many new entry‑level hatchbacks while offering luxury features such as leather seats, a panoramic roof, and advanced safety equipment.
