Hyundai implements Global CSO governance model

Hyundai Motor Brasil has introduced a new global governance model known as ‘Global CSO’. This initiative establishes the role of Chief Safety Officer to standardize the management of health, safety, and the environment (HSE) across the company’s operations.

The model applies to Hyundai Motor and its affiliates, including Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai Steel, Hyundai Transys, Hyundai Engineering, Hyundai Glovis, and Hyundai AutoEver within Central and South America. The structure aims to unify labor and sustainability management globally.

Key objectives of the Global CSO working group include the implementation of integrated HSE systems, accident prevention campaigns, the establishment of interconnected communication flows between partners, bi-monthly meetings, and performance evaluations based on established metrics. In Central and South America, the initiative will be led by Ricardo Martins, administrative vice president of Hyundai Motor Brasil and regional leader of the Global CSO.
