Hyundai introduces remote immobiliser for Venue models

Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the Hyundai Bluelink Remote Immobiliser, a new security feature designed to combat vehicle theft, including key-cloning attempts. The technology is being rolled out to the Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line models.

Drivers can activate the immobiliser via the Bluelink smartphone app. The feature offers both proactive and reactive protection: owners can lock the engine before parking or activate it if they suspect the vehicle has been stolen. To ensure safety, the system will not stop a vehicle while it is in motion; instead, once the engine is turned off, it cannot be restarted without authorization.

Eligible owners can receive this feature through a Controller Over-the-Air (C-OTA) software update, eliminating the need for workshop visits. The system also includes live location tracking to assist owners and law enforcement in recovering stolen vehicles.
