Hyundai launches Bayon SUV in India
Hyundai has officially launched the Bayon SUV in India, positioned between the Venue and the Creta models. The vehicle features a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder MPI petrol engine producing 115 PS and 143.8 Nm of torque, with transmission options including a 6-speed manual and an Intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT).
Key features distinguishing the Bayon from the Venue include a larger 505-litre boot, higher ground clearance of 205mm, and a generative AI voice assistant powered by Perplexity and SoundHound AI. The interior includes dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic screens, over 70 Bluelink connected features, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats.
A CNG variant is confirmed for introduction in January 2027. This model is expected to utilize a twin-cylinder gas tank setup to avoid compromising the vehicle's boot space, making it Hyundai’s first midsize SUV in India to offer a CNG option.
