Hyundai leaders discuss global AI integration and industrial strategy

At the AI Summit organized by Indamedia, Ibolya Ördög, marketing and communications leader at Hyundai Holding Hungary, discussed the differing global approaches to artificial intelligence. She noted that while Europe often views AI with hesitation or fear, South Korea has integrated the technology into its national economy and industrial strategy.

Ördög cited Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chun Un-suk, who emphasized that AI is ultimately a tool. He stated that the importance lies not in the technology itself, but in how quickly an organization can adopt and implement it to gain a competitive advantage. This discussion follows recent labor tensions in South Korea, where Hyundai employees have engaged in strikes to protect their jobs from potential AI-driven displacement.

In the creative sector, musician Laci Gáspár expressed that fighting against AI is futile. He noted that while AI will produce impressive productions, it creates a crisis of authenticity, where new talents may struggle to prove their skills are genuine rather than machine-generated.
