Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance launches youth competency program
Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance has unveiled ‘Project Trailmark,’ a program designed to document the experiences of young people engaged in solving social issues and translate those experiences into verifiable future competencies. The initiative aims to move beyond traditional academic credentials and certifications, focusing instead on practical skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and execution that are increasingly vital in the AI era.
Developed in partnership with SK, the project seeks to create a system where these documented experiences can be utilized by corporations during the recruitment process to verify candidate capabilities. The program was introduced at the 3rd Korea Social Value Festa.
Non-profit organization Root Impact will manage the operations, with participation from Enactus and JUMP to connect youth field experiences to the project. An advisory group of six experts from education, HR, and social innovation sectors will also support the initiative. Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance and SK are currently discussing expansion plans with other corporations, social innovation agencies, and academic institutions.
