Hyundai Motor Group donates 20 counseling vehicles for abused children
Hyundai Motor Group has donated 20 'i-CARE CAR' vehicles to child protection agencies across South Korea to support the psychological recovery of children affected by abuse. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Community Chest of Korea, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Good Neighbors.
The donation consists of 12 specially modified counseling vehicles and 8 small electric vehicles. The modified vehicles are equipped with professional counseling tools, including rotating seats, consultation tables, audiovisual monitors, and psychological therapy equipment, allowing specialists to reach children in remote or underserved areas. The small electric vehicles are intended to provide rapid mobility for home visits in urban settings while reducing operational costs through eco-friendly technology.
Since 2014, Hyundai Motor Group has provided a total of 192 vehicles to 86 child protection agencies. The 'i-CARE' social contribution program also includes 'i-CARE HOME' for shelter improvements and 'i-CARE UP' to support the well-being of frontline workers, forming a comprehensive support system as part of the company's ESG management strategy.
