Hyundai Motor Group hosts tech talent forum in Silicon Valley
Hyundai Motor Group successfully hosted its first HMG Tech Talent Forum at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. The two-day event aimed to share the group's future mobility vision and recruit global tech talent.
Nine group affiliates participated, including Hyundai Motor, Kia, Boston Dynamics, Motional, and 42dot. Approximately 380 attendees, including experts from top universities and global tech firms, participated in sessions covering six core technology areas: AI, robotics, autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, software/IT, and hydrogen/energy/battery.
Key executives, including Hyundai Motor CEO Jose Munoz, emphasized the group's transition into a 'physical AI' company that integrates robotics and autonomous driving through advanced software. Other leaders, such as Manfred Harra and Park Min-woo, discussed combining engineering expertise with AI and virtual development to enhance efficiency and create intelligent mobility ecosystems.
