Hyundai Motor Group launches K‑New Deal Academy HINT to train 1,000 youth in future mobility

The Ministry of Employment and Labor and Hyundai Motor Group have inaugurated the K‑New Deal Academy program called HINT (HMG Incubition of New Talent). The joint ceremony was held on 27 July at Hyundai Motor Group's Talent Development Center in Gyeongju, where Minister Kim Young‑hoon welcomed the first cohort of 1,000 unemployed young people aged 15‑34.

The two‑phase programme will run across seven regions of South Korea and provides basic job‑skill training, embedded‑AI and manufacturing‑intelligence modules, business‑etiquette and AI‑driven work‑automation workshops. Participants will undergo a 2‑night, 3‑day intensive course that includes factory tours and hands‑on vehicle training. Hyundai Motor Group President Seong Kim emphasized that the automotive sector is shifting toward electric and software‑centric vehicles and that nurturing talent with both theoretical knowledge and practical problem‑solving ability is essential. The government plans to broaden the K‑New Deal Academy to involve more corporations and expand opportunities for additional youth.

The initiative aims to enhance employability, support the transition to future mobility industries, and serve as a model for public‑private collaboration in workforce development.
