Hyundai Motor Group reports 100,000 EV sales in Europe and launches AllDayEnergy platform

Hyundai Motor Group said its brands Hyundai and Kia sold a combined 131,032 electric vehicles in Europe during the first half of 2026, a 41.8% rise over the same period a year earlier. The Kia EV3 SUV was the top seller with 27,121 units, followed by Hyundai’s Inster SUV (16,594) and Kia’s EV4 sedan (14,502). The companies expect total European EV sales to exceed 200,000 units by year‑end, taking cumulative European sales past the one‑million mark.

In parallel, the group introduced AllDayEnergy, a global brand for vehicle‑to‑everything (V2X) services. The first rollout targets the United Kingdom, where compatible E‑GMP models such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, 6, 9 and Kia EV9 will offer smart‑charging (V1G) that shifts charging to low‑cost periods. Future phases aim to add vehicle‑to‑home (V2H) and vehicle‑to‑grid (V2G) capabilities, allowing cars to power homes or feed electricity back to the grid, potentially saving owners hundreds of pounds annually. Certification of bidirectional chargers remains a hurdle before full V2G functionality can be delivered.
