Hyundai Motor Group speeds up AI alliance with Nvidia
On July 24, Hyundai Motor Group chairman (Zheng Yixuan / Chung Eui‑sun) visited Nvidia’s headquarters in Santa Clara, California, for a follow‑up meeting with CEO Jensen Huang after their June talks in Seoul. The two leaders reviewed progress and planned deeper cooperation in autonomous driving, robotics, AI‑driven manufacturing and data‑center infrastructure.
The discussion highlighted Hyundai’s plan to build a 112,400 m² “AI Valley” in South Korea’s Saemangeum region, with a staged 9 trillion won investment that will combine robotics, hydrogen, solar power and AI‑enabled factories. Nvidia signaled strong interest in supplying AI platforms and data‑center support for the project, aiming to accelerate physical‑AI applications across mobility and industry.
