Hyundai launches 11 electric buses in Bali
Hyundai Motor Company has deployed 11 County EV electric buses in Bali to support the island's first electric-based public transportation initiative. Developed in collaboration with local bodybuilder Laksana, the project utilizes Hyundai's electric bus platform while Laksana handles the vehicle body production.
The initiative is part of the Bali E-Mobility project, launched by South Korea's Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment (MCEE) in partnership with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). This program follows a Memorandum of Understanding between the South Korean and Indonesian governments to transform Bali's transport system toward electric mobility.
The County EV is a medium-sized bus with a capacity for 20 passengers. It is equipped with a 128 kWh battery, capable of traveling over 200 km on a single full charge. To ensure operational reliability, Hyundai is also implementing an EV Bus Field Quality Assurance Program to monitor vehicle condition and performance.
