Hyundai Motor sales decline 16 percent in September 2026

Hyundai Motor Co. reported a 16 percent decline in vehicle sales for September 2026 compared to the same period last year. Total sales reached 307,998 units, down from 366,731 units in September 2025.

The company attributed the decrease to fewer working days due to the Chuseok holiday and delayed demand for new models. Domestic sales in South Korea fell by 25.7 percent, while overseas sales dropped by 13.9 percent. For the first nine months of 2026, cumulative sales for Hyundai decreased by 7 percent compared to the previous year.
