Hyundai Motor updates Grandeur infotainment system via OTA

Hyundai Motor announced a sequential over-the-air (OTA) software update for the Pleos Connect next-generation infotainment system in the The New Grandeur. The update focuses on improving accessibility to frequently used driving functions.

Key enhancements include a new door lock button on the driving information screen, allowing users to lock or unlock all doors with a single touch. A new gear shift window will now appear during gear changes to display the current status among Park (P), Reverse (R), Neutral (N), and Drive (D). Additionally, the slim display will feature an engine RPM widget and dynamic graphics, such as varying speedometer fonts and backgrounds, based on the selected drive mode.

The vehicle’s voice AI agent, Gleo AI, has also received upgrades. Navigation searches will now prioritize locations based on the actual driving route, automatically sorting results by proximity. The system now supports on-device text-to-speech (TTS) for reading text messages via voice command. To prevent accidental operation, voice commands related to calls and messages are restricted for rear-seat passengers.

While this update targets The New Grandeur, these features have already been integrated into the recently released All New Avante and All New Tucson models.
