Hyundai Palisade Gains Hybrid Powertrain and 2027 Model Preview in Vietnam
Hyundai announced that the 2026 Palisade will be offered with a hybrid powertrain for the first time. The hybrid combines a 2.5‑liter gasoline engine with an electric motor to produce 329 hp and 339 lb‑ft of torque, achieving 29‑34 mpg and a starting price of about $50,000. The conventional V6 model continues with a 3.5‑liter engine delivering 287 hp.
In Vietnam, Hyundai displayed the upcoming 2027 Palisade a few weeks before its launch. Three trim levels are planned – Prestige, Calligraphy and Calligraphy Turbo Hybrid – with pricing estimated at 1.5‑1.7 billion VND. The new version features a squarer exterior, a longer wheelbase (2,970 mm) and upgraded interior technology, including a dual 12.3‑inch screen, Bose 14‑speaker audio, and wireless charging. The hybrid variant pairs a 2.5‑liter turbo engine with an electric motor for a combined 334 hp, fuel consumption of 7.69 L/100 km and a range of over 1,000 km.
