Hyundai Palisade Nears Taiwan Launch with 2.5‑L Turbo‑Hybrid Powertrain

Hyundai has completed noise‑level testing for the Palisade in Taiwan, indicating the flagship 7‑seat SUV is in the final stage before market entry. The model, originally slated for a Q2 2024 debut, has been pushed to the third or fourth quarter, but the environmental ministry’s approval suggests the launch is imminent.

The Taiwanese‑spec Palisade will be equipped with a new 2.5‑litre turbocharged four‑cylinder gasoline engine paired with a P1 and P2 dual‑motor hybrid system and a 6‑speed automatic transmission, delivering up to 334 hp. It boasts a low drag coefficient of 0.31 Cd, a 5,060 mm length, 1,980 mm width, 1,805 mm height and a 2,970 mm wheelbase. Interior highlights include a 12.3‑inch digital instrument cluster, large central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 100 W Type‑C charging ports, and optional BOSE audio.
