Hyundai Palisade SUV sees strong global demand and North American awards
Hyundai is expanding its SUV lineup with the Palisade, a flagship three-row vehicle designed to blend the space of an MPV with the presence of a large SUV. The model has seen significant commercial success, particularly in South Korea, where it received over 33,000 orders on its first day of pre-sale—a 1.5-fold increase compared to the first-generation model. Approximately 70% of those Korean orders were for the hybrid variant.
The Palisade has also achieved high acclaim in North America, winning the 2026 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year and the 2026 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year. In the North American awards, it secured 270 points, significantly outperforming the runner-up.
Key features of the vehicle include a 2.5-liter turbo hybrid powertrain, a premium interior designed for comfort, and advanced technology such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration, and the Blue Link application. The vehicle is scheduled to make its official debut in Taiwan on August 20.
