Hyundai-related industrial projects advance in Alabama and Louisiana

Hyundai-related industrial projects are advancing in the United States. In Alabama, auto parts supplier Seohan Auto USA has announced a $64 million expansion of its facility in Auburn. The investment aims to increase the plant's capacity for assembly, warehousing, and machining of chassis and suspension components for Hyundai and Kia.

In Louisiana, a judge ruled that Hyundai may proceed with its $5.8 billion steel mill project in Ascension Parish. The decision follows a legal challenge from groups including Rural Roots Louisiana and the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, who questioned the procedures used by state officials to enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement. The ruling allows the project at the Riverplex Megapark in Modeste to move forward despite the litigation.
