Hyundai rolls out new LPG models in Italy and unveils larger i20 for Brazil
Hyundai announced a 2026 LPG (GPL) range for the Italian market, covering three models – the Kona, Bayon and i20. The lineup offers a 1.0 L T‑GDI engine paired with LPG, delivering 84 hp on the i20 and Bayon and 110 hp on the Kona. Pricing starts at about €22,250 for the i20 Connectline, €23,200 for the Bayon XTech, and €27,350 for the Kona XTech. Hyundai notes that LPG can reduce fuel cost per kilometre by up to 40 % compared with gasoline.
Separately, Hyundai revealed the next‑generation i20 in Brazil. The new supermini is larger, features crossover‑inspired styling, and is built on the newer K3 platform. It will be offered with two 1.0‑liter three‑cylinder mild‑hybrid engines (75 hp and 115 hp) that can run on gasoline or ethanol. While the Brazilian version will launch imminently, a European version is planned for production in Turkey and is expected to be released within the next twelve months with an approximate starting price of €23,500.
