Hyundai Rotem selects PONAR Wadowice for K2 tank program
Hyundai Rotem Company has selected the Polish defense firm PONAR Wadowice to participate in the K2 Black Panther tank program. The Polish Ministry of National Defence has approved this selection, which focuses on the transfer of technology (ToT) and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of K2 tank components.
As part of the agreement, PONAR Wadowice will handle the service, repair, and production of hydropneumatic suspension elements for the tanks. These components will support the K2 tanks being assembled and produced at the Bumar-Łabędy facilities in Gliwice. The partnership follows a comprehensive audit conducted by Hyundai Rotem experts to verify PONAR Wadowice’s industrial readiness, infrastructure, and technical competencies for managing these advanced technologies.
