Hyundai Rotem supports Turkish Korean War veterans with new housing

Hyundai Rotem has completed its ‘Heroes’ Home’ project in Hatay Province, Turkey, providing housing improvements for Korean War veterans and their families. The initiative involved renovating two existing homes and constructing three new residences for the families of deceased veterans who were living in temporary shelters due to earthquake damage.

Working alongside social welfare organizations, the company provided essential household appliances, including refrigerators and kitchen furniture, to the recipients. The project honors the contribution of Turkey, which sent the fourth-largest number of troops to support South Korea during the Korean War.

Hyundai Rotem plans to expand this global veteran support program through 2029, building upon its existing domestic social responsibility efforts for national merit recipients in South Korea.
