Hyundai Rotem unveils next-generation high-speed train in Berlin
Hyundai Rotem is showcasing its next-generation high-speed train concept and future mobility technologies at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin, Germany. Developed in collaboration with the Hyundai Motor Group Namyang R&D Center, the new high-speed train concept focuses on user experience (UX) and advanced aerodynamics. The exterior design utilizes biomimicry to reduce air and water resistance, while the interior incorporates ergonomic designs and optimized cabin layouts to maximize legroom and storage space.
In addition to high-speed rail, the company is presenting its advancements in hydrogen-powered mobility and artificial intelligence. This includes a scale model of a hydrogen electric tram featuring ‘physical AI’ for autonomous driving. The technology integrates AI-driven CCTV for real-time emergency detection and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) designed to navigate complex environments shared with pedestrians and vehicles. The exhibition also features the EMU-320 high-speed train, the model used for South Korea’s KTX-Cheongryong, and various hydrogen fuel cell modules and locomotives.
