Hyundai Staria Load Hybrid secures first New Zealand fleet order

Facilities services provider OCS has become the first fleet customer in New Zealand to purchase the Hyundai Staria Load Hybrid. The new vans have been delivered and will be deployed across OCS’s nationwide operations to support frontline teams.

The 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol-hybrid powertrain produces a combined 180kW and 367Nm. According to Hyundai New Zealand, the hybrid model produces approximately 23% less carbon dioxide than the diesel-powered Staria Load, with claimed emissions of 163g/km compared to 212g/km for the diesel version. Hyundai estimates that the OCS fleet could save between 10 and 15 tonnes of CO2 annually compared to equivalent diesel vehicles.
