Hyundai tests next-generation Creta SUV in Spain

Hyundai is testing the next-generation Creta (codenamed SX3) in southern Spain to evaluate performance in hot weather and assess towing capacity under continuous load. The vehicle has transitioned from heavy camouflage to a thinner wrap, revealing more of its design based on Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ language.

The new SUV features a boxy silhouette with sharper, more angular lines, an upright front fascia, and H-styled LED daytime running lights. Other design elements include flush door handles, a slanted roofline, and H-styled tail lamps.

A significant technological shift for the Creta is its transition to a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) model. This evolution will allow for continuous improvements and new features via over-the-air (OTA) updates throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle without requiring hardware changes.
