Hyundai Tucson buyer seeks replacement over hood defects
A lawyer in Yalova, Turkey, is seeking a vehicle replacement after discovering defects in a new Hyundai Tucson purchased for 2,385,000 Turkish Lira. Upon immediate inspection by an expert, the vehicle was found to have disassembly and reassembly marks on the front hood, along with paint thickness significantly higher than other sections of the car.
The buyer, Gizem Gülsen Günaştı, stated she specifically chose this vehicle after rejecting another unit due to factory paint issues, seeking a flawless product. She has requested a direct replacement with an identical, defect-free model to avoid future depreciation concerns.
Representatives from the Hyundai dealership in Bursa reportedly responded by saying they were unaware of the issue, suggesting the hood adjustments might have occurred during shipping or transport. Mediation attempts have so far failed to reach a resolution.
