Hyundai unveils fifth-generation Tucson SUV

Hyundai has unveiled the fifth generation of its Tucson SUV, introducing a significant design shift under the ‘Art of Steel’ philosophy. The new model moves away from previous rounded surfaces in favor of a more muscular, angular, and squared aesthetic. Key visual elements include distinctive H-shaped lighting signatures and a more robust silhouette.

The new generation features increased dimensions, growing in length, width, and wheelbase to improve interior space, particularly for rear passengers. The interior is expected to feature a large central display and a horizontal layout designed for improved accessibility. While specific powertrain details remain undisclosed, electrification is expected to play a major role in the upcoming lineup.

A new XRT variant has also been revealed, designed for off-road enthusiasts. This version includes rugged styling elements such as a large rectangular grille, heavy-duty skid plates, dark exterior trim, exclusive wheels, and weather-resistant interior materials. The Tucson is set to launch in South Korea first, with international markets including Europe expected to see the model by 2027.
