Hyundai unveils Neira 7‑seat electric minivan concept at Indonesia auto show
Hyundai Motor Company presented the Neira concept, a seven‑seat electric minivan, at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The vehicle will be produced locally by Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, with production slated to begin by the end of 2026. Two battery options are planned: a 42 kWh pack delivering up to 404 km (251 mi) and a 51.4 kWh pack offering up to 490 km (304 mi) on a single charge, both capable of reaching 80 % charge in about 39 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger. The Neira’s design closely mirrors Kia’s Carens Clavis EV, differing mainly in front and rear styling, headlights and alloy wheels. Hyundai says the model is aimed at Indonesian families seeking space and sustainability, and it is unlikely to be exported to the United States because of tariff barriers.
