Hyundai unveils Tucson XRT adventure-styled SUV

Hyundai has unveiled the Tucson XRT, a rugged-looking version of its latest generation SUV designed for outdoor enthusiasts. While not a dedicated hardcore off-roader, the XRT features all-wheel drive as standard equipment and is styled to handle light off-road conditions, such as muddy forest roads.

Key exterior enhancements include a more imposing split rectangular grille, bulky skid plates at the front and rear, and black trim around the wheel arches. The vehicle also features black wheels branded with the XRT insignia and plastic cladding with a carbon-fiber-inspired pattern.

Inside, the XRT includes protective mats for both seating rows, specialized patterned seats, and dark metal decorative elements to complement its tougher aesthetic. The new Tucson generation also emphasizes aerodynamics, reducing the drag coefficient from 0.33 to 0.30 through active air flaps, optimized wheels, and a redesigned roof spoiler.
