I-49 Northbound lane closure scheduled in Shreveport

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a scheduled lane closure on I-49 northbound in Shreveport. On Tuesday night, September 29, the right lane at the I-20 interchange (Exit 206) will be closed from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.

In addition to the northbound lane closure, the left lane of the exit ramp will also be closed to facilitate repairs to a crash attenuator, a safety device designed to absorb vehicle energy during collisions. While these specific lanes will be closed, the exit ramp itself is expected to remain open during the repair work. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes and exercise caution near work crews.
