Italy regional summer events and cultural programs conclude 2026 season

Various regional activities and cultural events in Italy have concluded their 2026 summer seasons. In Anzio, the NiRo Beach Volley project saw approximately 350 athletes participate in tournaments at Bagni Tirrena, with the season concluding on August 30.

In the Basilicata region, the Miss Italia pageant crowned Miriam Baldassarre as Miss Basilicata 2026 during a ceremony in Pietrapertosa. Other regional awards included Miss Cinema and Miss Sport.

The Borghi della Riviera Dannunziana association also reported a successful summer, highlighted by the Gran Sasso International Prize and the Gelati Letterari literary series in Pescara.

In Rimini, local beach operators have expressed concerns regarding the early reopening of schools on August 31, arguing that the shift in routine may negatively impact the end-of-summer tourism season.
