I Cani headline Mind Festival in Montecosaro, 14 years after debut

Italian indie band I Cani returned to the Mind Festival in Montecosaro, marking their first performance in the town since 2012. After a decade of silence following the release of their seminal trilogy – “Sorprendente album d’esordio”, “Glamour” and “Aurora” – front‑man Niccolò Contessa led the group through tracks from their recent album “Post Mortem”, including “Buio”, “Buco nero” and “Nella parte del mondo in cui sono nato”.

The concert opened with the Calabrian electronic duo Amore Audio, and the setting was described as a simple yet evocative stage on the Mariotti sports field. The event served as a generational gathering, drawing fans who first heard the band as adolescents now approaching their late thirties, underscoring the lasting impact of I Cani on Italy’s indie scene.
