I Custodi del DNA honored at Music@Mens in Rome

The association ‘I Custodi del DNA’ was honored at the Music@Mens musical competition held in the Sala della Protomoteca at the Campidoglio in Rome. The award was presented as part of the RO. MENS festival during a week dedicated to mental health.

Singer Laura Scrivo, originally from Saracena, performed the song ‘Sipario sul DNA’, composed by Adriano Coschiera. The recognition follows a live performance at the Teatro Tor Bella Monaca. The association received a miniature version of the ‘Marco Cavallo DeSanba’ sculpture, an artwork inspired by the historical symbol of the fight against psychiatric institutions and mental health stigma.

In her acceptance speech, Scrivo dedicated the award to the late Don Leone, a priest who supported her early musical journey, as well as to families, caregivers, and individuals facing the realities of fragility and rare conditions.
