I KOD NAS initiative expands breastfeeding support across Croatia

The “I KOD NAS” initiative, launched by Jana and Philips Avent, is expanding its network of breastfeeding-friendly locations across Croatia. The campaign aims to create welcoming public spaces where mothers can breastfeed without discomfort or the need to seek out hidden areas.

In the Zagreb and Zagreb County region, 103 hospitality establishments have joined the movement, including 70 locations within the city of Zagreb. In Istria, 14 locations have signed on, including six establishments in Pula such as Hum Caffe bar and Pomidor Caffe bar. In Velika Gorica, venues including Caffe bar Alkar, Caffe bar Barbara, and Club 100 have also participated.

To date, more than 300 locations across the entire country have joined the initiative. Participating venues display the “I KOD NAS” label to signal to parents that they are welcome and that breastfeeding is accepted as a natural part of daily life. The organizers emphasize that the goal is not to create specialized rooms, but to foster an environment of understanding and kindness among hospitality workers.
