IAA Transportation 2026: Piaggio and Citroën unveil new commercial vehicles

At the IAA Transportation 2026 event in Hannover, Piaggio Commercial and Citroën showcased new commercial vehicle solutions tailored for professional and urban use.

Piaggio Commercial presented its Porter range, highlighting the 100% electric Porter NPE and the bifuel Porter NP6, which runs on petrol-LPG or petrol-methane. The Porter NPE features a 3-in-1 electric drive unit with up to 150 kW peak power and a 42 kWh LFP battery, designed for zero-emission urban logistics and municipal services. The Porter NP6 offers a payload capacity of up to 1,640 kg and is available in various configurations, including a tipper for construction and maintenance.

Citroën held the world premiere of the Berlingo Van First at the Stellantis Pro One stand. The vehicle emphasizes modularity through features like the Flexiseat, which increases cargo space, and the Modutable, which converts a seat into a desk. The Berlingo Van First is offered with electric, diesel, and petrol engines, including a 136 CV electric version with a range of up to 270 km. A mild hybrid version is expected in 2027.
