Iaco Group manufactures UEFA Champions League trophies

The Iaco Group, an Italian company owned by the Iacovacci family, is the official manufacturer of major UEFA trophies, including the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League. Based in Avellino with laboratories in Vicenza and Lugano, the group has specialized in precious metalwork for over 40 years.

The production of the Champions League trophy is a highly complex artisanal process. Approximately 80% of the work is performed by hand through techniques such as turning, chasing, polishing, and engraving, with the entire process taking nearly three months. The silver trophy stands 73 centimeters tall and features the names of past winners engraved on the back.

Since 2009, UEFA has retained the original trophies, providing winning teams with replicas. The Iaco Group also serves as a commercial partner for Lega Serie A and produces the UEFA Super Cup.
