IAEA ready to deploy inspectors to Iran immediately if requested

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi has stated that the International Atomic Energy Agency is prepared to immediately deploy inspectors to Iran to fully resume operations if a formal request is received. Grossi emphasized that the agency possesses the actual capability to act, noting, “Our teams are ready. We know exactly where to go and what to do.”

Full-scale IAEA inspection activities in Iran were previously interrupted following strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and Tehran's subsequent decision to suspend cooperation with the agency. Due to security concerns, inspectors were withdrawn from the country, and the agency's access to nuclear facilities under safeguards has been significantly restricted.
