IAG Cargo reports €570 million H1 2026 revenue amid joint venture rollout

IAG Cargo, the freight division of International Airlines Group, posted first‑half‑year 2026 revenue of €570 million, down from €629 million a year earlier. Freight tonne‑kilometres fell 12.3% year‑on‑year, while earnings per tonne‑kilometre rose 9.8%.

The company accelerated the launch of its Global Cargo Joint Business with Qatar Airways Cargo and MASkargo, now operating in 59 markets and targeting 400 destinations worldwide. Investments were made in hub handling capacity, and IAG Cargo was named ground‑handling agent for Qatar Airways Cargo in Madrid and Dublin and expanded its role for MASkargo at London Heathrow.

Specialised logistics demand remained strong: the “Critical” express service grew more than 80%, “Prioritise” up 4.1%, “Secure” up 8%, and temperature‑controlled “Constant Climate” shipments increased, especially from the Asia‑Pacific region and for vaccine support in West Africa. CEO David Shepherd said the focus remains on customer needs, economic discipline and long‑term growth despite ongoing network disruptions.
