Iago Aspas returns to Celta squad for Elche match

Iago Aspas has returned to the RC Celta squad following his recovery from a muscle tear sustained during a match against Málaga. The Celta captain is the sole addition to Claudio Giráldez’s squad for the upcoming fixture against Elche at the Martínez Valero stadium.

While Aspas has been medically cleared, manager Claudio Giráldez noted that the player is not yet at 100 percent capacity. The coaching staff intends to manage his minutes carefully to avoid overexertion, particularly given his age and the upcoming match against Juventus.

Other squad updates include Sebastián Cáceres and Ionut Andrei Radu being available for selection, while Starfelt, Román, Jones, and Antañón remain sidelined due to injury.
