Iago Fuertes wins Spanish Cadet Padel Championship

Iago Fuertes and partner Anselmo Guerrero have secured the Spanish Cadet Padel Championship title in Valencia. This victory marks Fuertes’ second consecutive national title in the cadet category.

The duo faced a challenging path to the championship, starting from the preliminary rounds and playing a total of nine matches. In the final against Mauro Hoyas and Arranz Maestre, Fuertes suffered a heatstroke during the second set due to temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. Despite receiving medical attention and losing the second set 3-6, the pair recovered to win the third set 7-5, clinching the match.

Following this achievement, Fuertes is set to compete in the Premier Padel Comunidad de Madrid (P1 category) in Madrid, where he will participate via a wildcard alongside partner Bentahor Espino.
