Iași medical treatments attract international patients from the US
Valeriu Bargan, a 75-year-old Romanian retiree living in Franklin, Tennessee, travels annually to Iași, Romania, for medical treatments. Having visited the Nicolina resort four times, Bargan reports significant physical improvement from the sulfur water therapies, stating, “I came with a cane in my hand and left with it under my arm.”
His treatment regimen includes sulfur water baths, paraffin procedures, massages, and electrical therapies. While he initially sought help for knee issues, he is currently undergoing procedures for pelvic conditions. The resort attracts international interest, including patients from Italy and the Republic of Moldova, specifically for treating rheumatic, post-traumatic, respiratory, and gynecological conditions.
