Iași public sector and transport entities reach labor settlements

The Iași Tribunal has ruled that the Iași Local Police must pay salary differences to nearly 200 employees. The decision, issued on June 25, 2026, follows a legal action brought by the Pro Lex National Union regarding unpaid wages for the period between January 28 and May 31, 2022. The court mandated the institution to settle these differences resulting from the application of Local Council Decision no. 19/2022. The ruling is subject to appeal within 15 days.

Separately, the public transport company CTP Iași has concluded the first stage of negotiations with its labor unions. The agreement includes a 4% increase in the base salary for all employees and the approval of a new salary scale. Management noted that the increase was made possible by redirecting savings from rigorous expenditure monitoring, despite rising costs for fuel, spare parts, and energy.
