Iain Armitage responds to claims of difficult behavior on ‘Young Sheldon’ set

Actor Iain Armitage has responded to claims that he exhibited difficult behavior while filming the hit CBS sitcom ‘Young Sheldon’. The comments follow revelations in Jessica Radloff’s new book, ‘Young Sheldon: The (Juicier-Than-Meemaw’s-Brisket) Inside Story of the Hit Comedy’, which explores the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the series.

In the book, co-star Annie Potts, who played the character Meemaw, described Armitage’s behavior as sometimes difficult, noting the psychological challenges of a nine-year-old being expected to work and behave like an adult. Armitage, now 18, addressed these claims by stating, “I always did the best that I could, and sometimes kids are not perfect.”

Armitage expressed gratitude to those who provided him with grace during his time on the show, which ran for seven seasons from 2017 to 2024. He also described his experience working with the cast and crew as a “privilege” and noted that the team felt like family.
