Iaki Complex in Mamaia to undergo major demolition and renovation

Hagi Sport SRL has received authorization from the Constanța City Hall to demolish three buildings, identified as C1, C2, and C3, within the Iaki complex in Mamaia. The permit, issued on July 8, 2026, is valid until the summer of 2028. While the demolition is confirmed, the specific plans for new constructions on the cleared land have not yet been disclosed.

This move is part of a broader modernization effort for the iconic hotel complex, involving an investment of over two million euros. In addition to the demolitions, the company has obtained permission to develop a beach area exceeding 17,000 square meters, which will include a new beach bar.

Previous development attempts at the site include 2022 plans to demolish buildings C5, C6, C7, and C10 to build an administrative structure, as well as a proposal for a ballroom that was previously rejected due to urban planning regulations regarding land occupancy and height limits.
