IAMDDB accuses Israel of identity theft in AI propaganda video

Angolan-Portuguese singer and UK-based rapper IAMDDB, born Diana Adelaide Rocha De Brito, has condemned the Israeli government for using an AI-generated likeness of her in a propaganda video without her consent.

The video, which was shared on the Israeli government’s official X account before being removed, featured an AI-generated figure bearing a striking resemblance to the artist. The clip included lyrics asserting Jewish historical ties to the region, such as: “Jews from Judea, it's in the damn name, same Hebrew letters, same culture, same prayers remain.”

Activist Rafael Shimunov identified the resemblance, noting that the AI figure wore an outfit nearly identical to a 2018 portrait of IAMDDB. In official statements, the artist clarified that she had not authorized, approved, or participated in the creation of the video and expressed her solidarity with Palestinians. She stated she is currently seeking advice to protect her image, work, and rights.
