iamproperty joins Open Property Data Association

Proptech firm iamproperty has joined the Open Property Data Association (OPDA) to support the modernization of the home buying and selling process. The company provides onboarding, auction, and material information services to over 1,000 partner agencies.

By joining the OPDA, iamproperty joins a network that includes six major banks, building societies, conveyancers, and estate agents. The association aims to develop open property data standards and models to create reusable and shareable information, intended to reduce friction and increase transparency in property transactions.

Maria Harris, chair of the OPDA, noted that iamproperty has already contributed to the industry through participation in sandbox programs and hackathons. Chris Watson, head of data and insights at iamproperty, stated that the membership is a step toward making the property transaction process faster and simpler for consumers and professionals.
