IAPETUS to release new album 'The Mother Void' on October 16

The U.S. progressive and melodic death metal duo IAPETUS has announced the release of their new album, "The Mother Void," scheduled for release via Willowtip on October 16. This marks the band's first new album since 2019.

Core members Matthew Cerami and Jordan Navarro are joined on the project by several guest musicians, including Eluveitie vocalist Fabienne Erni, drummer Brody Taylor Smith (Invent Animate), guitarist Benji Baret (Ne Obliviscaris), and vocalist Frank Harper (Caelestra). The album was mixed by Jens Bogren and mastered by Tony Lindgren.

"The Mother Void" is described as a conceptual record that serves as the conclusion to a trilogy of albums exploring the tension between mortal existence and immortal space. The band has released the official video for the first single, "Red Giant."
