Iasmin Lucindo defeats Nicolle Caliari at UFC 333

Iasmin Lucindo secured a unanimous decision victory over Nicolle Caliari in a strawweight bout at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi. The win marks a successful return to the octagon for the 24-year-old Lucindo following a suspension due to supplement contamination.

The match was contested at a catchweight after Caliari missed the weight limit by four and a half pounds, resulting in a 30% fine. During the fight, Caliari suffered a cut over her eye, which Lucindo targeted with elbows and forearm strikes while working from top position.

Lucindo controlled much of the grappling exchanges, successfully defending Caliari’s attempts to press her against the fence and utilizing takedowns to maintain dominance. The judges scored the bout 30-27 across all three cards in favor of Lucindo.
