Iasonas Mouselimis wins gold at European Beach Sprint Championships

Iasonas Mouselimis has become the European champion in the youth skiff category at the European Beach Sprint Championships held in La Línea, Spain. This victory marks the first gold medal for Greece in this specific competition.

Mouselimis secured the title by winning three consecutive races on Thursday. After defeating Poland's Maksymilian Maciejewski in the quarterfinals and Hungary's Ádám Morpus in the semifinals, he faced Spain's Javier Torres Montoro in the final. Mouselimis maintained a strong lead throughout the final, finishing with a time of 2:27.43, while Montoro finished at 2:47.50.

This achievement is the sixth international gold medal for Mouselimis this year, following previous successes at the World Youth Championships in Plovdiv, the U19 European Championships in Brandenburg, the 4th International Beach Sprint in Limassol, and the Regatta di Pietiluco.
